So you are saying even though Maxwell rates these caps at 500 PPS (pulses
per second), They are really one pulse per second caps? Does everyone agree?
Has those that have used these caps been disappointed. Would I be better off
listing them on ebay and selling to the next sucker before I destroy them?

is that 500 pps at 10% VR (voltage reversal) or 500 pps at 90% VR.. the latter is more representative of TC duty.

Also, what's the rated shot life. At 120 pps, you can run through 1E5 shots in less than 20 minutes of running. How many shots do the caps have already? (i.e. are they maintenance pulls from some piece of equipment?)

There's also some other performance parameters to be aware of. RMS current is something that you can exceed (destroying the capacitor) while staying within the other limits.

http://home.earthlink.net/~jimlux/hv/caplife.htm has a bit of a discussion about life.
