Re: Where are all the good caps?

for what it's worth, I have a few hundred 1250V caps left that I'd just as soon sell off. If my memory serves, they are ECQ-E series - I believe I have the data on my web site (www.wbnoble.com) - I'm not home where I can check right now. These exact caps were tested a few years ago when we were first considering MMCs and were found to be good for this purpose (not excellent, but "good") - a search of the archives may reveal the test data. So, until the supply runs dry, I am at least one source of caps for this purpose. Contact me directly if you are interested, or I suppose, argue about this on the list......

Hi,

Feel free to just "copy" it to your site!! "I" don't do the dumb copyright stuff ;-))) That file is sort of hard to find too... I should rework that site someday...

Thanks Bart. Sounds like a good idea. You would also considering posting a ref to Terry F.s protecction circuit so beginners don't blow their NSTs right away. I usually send one out in the cap orders --- gives them something to think about.

Hi Dr.,

Yes, you certainly have. I was thinking, it might help get the word out if we posted your sight as the contact to buy MMC's. I would like have a source for CD caps at the JavaMMC Calculator page (unless you would rather it not be posted at websites).

In the past, I used the Geek Group as the source, but since they are now moving to other priorities, it would be nice to point coilers to a source. For a year or so now, I've really had no place to point coilers to.

Take care,
Bart
