Re: ANOTHER CAPACITOR QUESTION

Ed,

Vishay, former Philips it would seem, carries the mentioned range under the type MKP1837, and 100V rating. They are small nice capacitors

Hope this helps.

A ham friend of mine is experimenting with a 100 watt CW beacon transmitter on 180 kHz and is looking for very small ESR capacitors in the capacitance range of 0.01 ufd to 0.1 ufd. AC voltage will be around 50 VRMS. Are any of you who are "up on MMC's" aware of suitable capacitors in this low voltage region? He's already using metallized polypropylene (don't know part numbers) but is looking for the smallest capacitors he can find.

Any thoughts? Not your usual MMC application and I'm not sure if anyone makes suitable capacitors for such low voltage.
