Id certainly do it... aluminum is still a pretty good conductor.  Ive
found transformers wound with aluminum as well (MOTs), and they seemed
to work just fine.  I use aluminum for the buss work on my SSTCs.
Only bad problem with aluminum is fatigue... once you bend it, you
cant bend it back without it just breaking,  but inside of a pig this
is no problem.
