Re: slide choke wire size? - and duty cycle

I just got through winding about 75 pounds of #8, pvc insulated stranded
wire for a slide choke. It's wound for 15" on a 2" od square form, out to
7" o.d. I have a 1-3/4 " x 1-3/4" stack of laminations as the core.
I hope to run this up to 90A, @ 240V. I guess I'll see!
