Just remember that the new theory must meet TWO criteria:

1) It must agree with the results of the old theory where the old theory was known to hold AND 2) It must give at least one verifiable right answer that the old theory did not.

Failing either part of the test puts the "new theory" in the pile of "not useful also-rans".

Hi Dave,

It seems like the originator of a "new theory" has a responsibility
to investigate it to find uses that other theories dont
provide,  especially if that originator wants to gain acceptance of
that new theory.
