Re: Tesla Coil RF Transmitter (long)

Dan,

Calculate a secondary coil that resonates at 9kHz, and ponder it`s parameters. Look for size or resistance in wire.

Calculate the time of one ringdown with 0.15 coupling coefficient,2nd. notch quenching, then add time for recharging the cap. How many bps can you drive the coil at?

Do these calculations, and you have your answer.

Cheers, Finn Hammer

By the way, in the US anything under 9kHz is not regulated by the FCC. I am wondering why not build coils in that range?
