Hi,

Most Tasers carry two wires so the one who holds it is pretty safe. If this is just a single conductor along say a stream of water, Then the shooter would have to have maybe high heels on with a dragging ground wire. Then it "might" work... Of course, like Tesla's very similar death ray, hope the target is unarmed and standing still. Against a mad "terrorist" with an AK-47 it might not do so well...

What is really funny is this "patent-pending technology" has so much prior art... I am sure their patent attorney will make some money out of it all...

Doesn't say they're going for a utility patent (the kind you're thinking of). Maybe they're getting a design patent on the patterning of the stock?

It's also not unheard of to file a really lame application, so that you can claim patent pending, never expecting a patent grant because the product's market life is shorter than the time to issue a patent. [Although these days, they seem to grant patents on all comers, and let the infringers fight it out]
