No, it won't do that, unhappily. I'm awaiting a manual in the mail & perhaps I can figure out how to do it. But I don't see an easy way to sync the scope's one-shot with triggering the (new) camera. There has to be a connection for triggering the scope from the C53, via the 7904's connector (I have the 7904's manual but haven't checked that yet.). The C53 is chock full of electronics & mechanisms (going for about $2300 with the battery pack in 1988!) so it appears it may not have been all that easy to implement the feature--especially since you would have the presumably-constant bezel-illumination to deal with.

Since I have a Tek 7000 series scope and a digital
SLR, I'm more than a little interested :-9 Does the
setup allow you to photograph single shot events in
the same way as the original camera did? It would be
good for capturing those DRSSTC glitches.
