Hi Terry,

Appears D. Stampe is occassionaly hired by KVA Effects
for these stunts.Something of interest:
http://discorder.citr.ca/features/02decgwar.html

Excerpt from the article:
''
Danielle:"Well,I work with this company called kVA
that makes giant Tesla coils for theatrical lightning
generation.IOW,we make machines that shoot bolts of
electricity sixty feet long through the air.I do all
kinds of stunts for them, including WEARING ELECTRICAL
UNDERWEAR that lets me channel huge amounts of
electricity through my body that would be otherwise
fatal.I also do this trick where I shoot bolts of
lightning from my fingertips"

Rich:"Like the Emperor in Return of the Jedi"

Danielle:"Exactly.It sometimes happens that I take a
little too much voltage and my heart just kind of
stops.Getting a defibrilallator was the best thing I
ever did"
''
According to her own words she wears some kind of
partial "shark suit" that reduces shocks delivered
by snappy TC power arcs.
Hehehe..
Secret details are being revealed more and more.
Except gloves and its wiring there's also that
electrical underwear.
Althought, she is not protected completely by the
combination and experience sometimes a heart
fibrillation caused by taking too much power arc
current (not voltage she reffered to) flowing
undesirable body routes.

So much about "hurting a little".

Safe coiling,
Boris

Hmm.. when reading interviews from performers, one should take statements with a grain (or sack) of salt.
Danielle:"...and my heart *just kind of* stops.Getting a defibrilallator was the best thing I
ever did"

emphasis mine...

Someone who performs these stunts has an interest in making them appear more dangerous than they actually are. Not to reflect poorly on Danielle (who, after all is making a living with TCs, a sufficiently rare phenomenon that should be encouraged), but one might wonder whether she thinks the reason it is the best thing is not because she's worried about actually needing it, but because it adds an element of showmanship.

"We have a top medical rescue team standing by as Harry Houdini is lowered slowly into the water tank, just in case."
