If you're running at 15kV then the charging inductor only sees 15kV.

When the tank cap is discharged, the power supply end of the inductor is at 15kV and the tank cap end is at ground. So there is 15kV across the inductor.

One half cycle of resonant charging later, the power supply end is still at 15kV (it never moved) but the tank cap is now at 30kV so again there is 15kV across the inductor but just in the other direction.
