Hi Paul,

I just lay a length of #12 house wire on top of the toroid and that will be fine. At 300kV, a little air gap is no problem at all ;-))

Terry,
I've been meaning to ask, is it OK to just lay a piece of copper pipe on top of the toroid sticking out to the side a little to provide a "jumping off point?" Or, does this require a more substantial connection to the toroid? Thanks.
