Re: 1.5 Wave Coil

Hi Terry, Jared,

me too, got the posting about the 1.5 wave coil timely on June 26th!

BTW: For my little Seibt, wirelength has no even correlation to resonance(es), by my experimental results, for the bare coil:

Wirelength: 526.2m
1/4 weave resonance: 366.1kHz -> wavelength 819m (1.56 x wirelength)
3/4 weave resonance: 997.1kHz -> wavelength 300m (0.57 x wirelength)

IMHO the Seibt shows standing wave phenomana in a very old fashioned and basic way. My most used excitation frequency was around 2300kHz, which shows 5 corona zones, for 2 wavelengths. But this was with the corona wire active, along the coil - so, a different resonator capacitance vs. bare coil.

I wonder, if -Jared- you ever took the effort to study the careful investigation of solenoid resonators, performed by Paul Nicholson:

Hi Terry,
FWIW, I got the 1.5 wave coil that you sent yesterday just fine.
