Curt,

Check with your local electrical utility company or do a local
Yellow pages search on transformers and tell tehm what kind
of transformer that you're looking for (pole mount, dual bushing
5 kVA, 14,400 - 120/240 volt transformer). Also, you could look on ebay as they do occasionally show up there. The freight
shipping charges may very well cost you more than the pig itself,
though. If you were anywhere the Memphis, TN area, I could put you on a source of reasonably priced rebuilt pigs ;^)

David,
You must be physic - what I have is exactly one of
those big red 240V Lincoln 225 stick welders! This
almost makes it too easy, just have to find a 220
variac and of course a pig!
Anyone have a 5KVA pig the want to get rid of cheep?
Or know where to buy one?
Thanks,
Curt.
