Yes, I do agree that active current limiting is the way to go.  Hard
limits can be set using it, and it is fully understandable.  However,
just trying to understand more why this ballasting effect occurs, as it
doesn't appear to work in the same way like simple resistive or
inductive ballasts.  I will have to explore further . . .
