Well, that's what I've been thinking.  I can parallel the two 30mA units

have for 60mA if needed.  However, based on the recent responses, plus
some
research I've been doing on my own, neon xformers are about the worst
drivers for multipliers unless huge multiplier caps are used.  So, now
I'm
revisiting driving with a tv flyback if I can find a way to increase the
current.

	NST's can indeed exhibit unexpected behavior when operating into
voltage multipliers.  Among other things it is possible to pick values
of coupling and filter capacitors which result in resonant conditions
with excessive voltage.  Larger values are safer but load regulation is
always lousy because of the high leakage reactance.
