Well, it is possible for Telsa to be off slightly on the voltage he was
using since even today it's hard to determine the EXACT voltage from tesla
coils, as to the delayed health effects, you can easily use Tesla as a
example, he repeatedly exposed himself  high voltage RF currents and exposed
himself to x-rays and he lived to be quite old only succumbing to ill health
