How is your coil powered (i.e. where and how do you plug it in?)
What sort of ground connection are you using on the secondary?
Do you have a counterpoise/ground plane under the coil connected to the
"cold end" of the secondary? (this can help a lot, because the RF current
isn't flowing through some long ground wire (aka antenna).
