RE: MMC bleed resistors

Original poster: "Tristan Steele" <tsteele-at-westnet-dot-com.au>

Randy,

These resistors that you have thousands of, are they any different to a
normal 1/2 watt resistor? I have found a relatively cheap source of
'normal' 1/2 watt resistors, but were wondering if they were suitable for
high voltage application. I am about to build a tesla coil, and am trying
to assemble a list of part suppliers in AUS. If anybody has any
recommendations, it would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly, Is it possible to make a MMC using LOTS of Ceramic Capacitors (ie
4700pF 3kV)?

Many Thanks
Tristan

Hi Randy,

I have a few thousand of those resistors here. Just send me your address
and how many you want.

Cheers,

          Terry
