All this huffing and puffing over an image; that for all you know the
kid got from the same place you did!  After all, his image doesn't have
"THE GEEK GROUP" stamped on it, and neither does the original!

But you cannot copyright what "others" have done, as "your" own:


"Copyright protection subsists from the time the work is created in
fixed
form. The copyright in the work of authorship immediately becomes the
