one could also extrapolate that process
to make toroidal hemispheres,
complete with the support in the centre,
to go even further, 1\2 toroid on the bottom and a
hemisphere on the top to make one of those
curved bottom dome thingys.
( hope the technical terminology  is not
too over yer heads) :p
