It's quite common to rate magnetic core materials in terms of "watts
per pound (or gram or kg)" or "watts per cubic inch, cm, meter, or
whatever" AT A SPECIFIC FREQUENCY of course.  Point is that for a given
core material and frequency the power handling capability is
proportional to the volume of the core and hence to its weight.  Look at
any EE handbook section on transformer design and you'll find this
subject discussed.

	The turns/volt determines the flux density, but the volume determines
how much wire of a given cross section can be wound on the core.
