Re: Best way to clean and shine Brass

For the last 3 or 4 years, I've been using, with great results, 'Brite Boy Metal Polish' by Carroll, home of Olde Tyme Products, Garland, TX, www.carrolco.com this is great for brass, copper, chrome, stainless steel, aluminum and silver. It's a chemical, not an abrasive cleaner. After thoroughly cleaning the metal in question, I then rinse and clean the metal with acetone and then apply CaiShield S7 Metal Sealant & Protectant from Caig Labs, Inc. to inhibit oxidation. The S7 is expensive but works wonders. Contact me on this substance if interested. I buy it in its concentrated form and dilute it to working strength, which makes small amounts affordable. I've pictures of copper spheres cleaned and treated with this substance that have not shown appreciable discoloration or oxidation after 6 months!
