There is another scam going on as well in the area of test equipment.

So far i participated in three auctions (three separate sellers) for test
equipment (HP sweep generators, oscilloscopes, etc...) in which I was not
the
winning bidder.  In all three occurrences, someone replied back to me with
an almost identical email address as the seller stating that
the winning bidder had to back out because of a car accident or something,
and that this seller would sell me the auction item for
some value that was less than the final auction price.  However, the person
only would accept Western Union and the address was a
foreign address.  Very shady sounding.

Anyways, if you come across something like this, be very wary.  I've had it
happen three times already in the past few months.  Probably the same guy
too.

Anyways, I hope you guys paid with credit card.  You can dispute the sale
and hopefully resolve the issue.
