Re: 833a Sockets: where to buy?

Anyone can buy an 833 socket off the internet, the real score is to get up
early and drive whatever distance to as many hamfests as possible, scouring
through every tailgate, every cigar box full of junk, every table, every
time. After doing this for several years and paying hundreds of dollars in
parking, admission, and luke warm hot dogs from the concession stand, you
WILL find that 833 tube socket for $5 to $10 dollars. That's when you feel
the real glow from a triumphant find! This will of course put your vttc
project on the back burner for up to 20 years, but it gives you that much
more time to find all the other components as well, so you can build a first
class coil.
