I enjoyed watching a less safety caring person tie magnet wire to a fence,
and the other end to a heavy bolt and then swing it around and toss it over
a bare residential transmission line. Sometimes the sparks were like
lighning (between powerling and the fence), mostly the wire just burned up.
I guess the voltage on the line when it hit makes a difference.

A stupid activity, but still amusing that a few thousand volts will vaporize
20-30 feet of wire and then make a nice spark.
