Okay.  Then first off, forget the 5kVA rating.  You'll never find one of
this rating readily available and if you do find one somewhere, you will pay
*dearly* for it.  Remember, PTs by themselves
are measurement devices built to much higher tolerances than regular
distribution transformers.

Your better off using the standard 1.5kVA, 14.400:120 GE Potential
Transformer everyone and the mother has used for tesla coils.  There is one
on ebay right now in fact.  This is a very
good transformer and can be pushed to about 3.5kW.  Current ballasting is
*extremely* simple also.  A 500ft roll of 12AWG wire from Home Depot for
$10.00 is all that is need for
exactly about 3-3.5kW!!!!   I've gotten up to 8 foot arcs using one of these
PTs running at 3.5kW ! ! !

Also, if you need more power, they can be easily paralleled!
