Which secondary ? my 0.2mmwire coil is wound on 6.3" dia tube, its around
30" high. I used thicker wire coil ( which I aused before ) to try and
reduce the voltage stress from the primary, though in doing so seems to
create other problems, maybe reduce the coupling.  I will try to get a
picture of my setup, its only a proto-type setup and I still have a lot of
work to do! I will post details on it latter...

Ive seen a SSTC wich seems to have very low coupling and still work well.
Not sure why it would work at all really unless the power input was very
large. It makes me think about a magnifier type setup then the priamry and
secondary would be nowhere near each other then.

Yes I also noticed this. I only have to place me hand near it and it goes
off tune totally. it does seem to be less effected the higher the power
level is though. I've not been brave enough to try any real power though it
yet since im still getting use to things at the moment...
