Hi Jim

Yep, 1/2 bridge with doubler front end (+/-160V), constant current / constant
voltage control, just like TWT HV power supplies. Might be on a board
half the size of the Captain's Plasmasonic SSTC. Use two matched 60Hz MOT's
(can be picked up new for <$20 ea.) and IGBT's, run at Fo up until
iron losses / heating start becoming a concern... Might even be able to make a
fast (or slow) GFI integral to controls for high speed shut down in case
of component failure or operator getting into HV... Plus size, wieght
reduction, and increase in efficiency / power density. Plus reduced stored
energy on HV side... interesting.
