The MOT drives both positive and negative half-wave doublers. These
charge 4 MO caps in series for an output of +/- 4.25kV (loaded). This 8.5kV
then goes through a 9H differential-mode charging reactor through a bunch of
fast diodes to the MMC (45nF). This can charge the MMC up to 17kV in about
2mS, giving me 6.5 joules/bang at 0 to 500 BPS (triggered gap). Pulls a nice
comfy 12A -at- 120VAC -at- 200BPS, so it could probably be pushed quite a bit
harder with a bigger MMC.
