Testing your Coil, sans coils.

Is it possible to test your Tank Cap to: 

	1: Determine it's been built OK! 
	2: Make sure neither the bleeders nor caps won't go POP! 
And 	3: Set Safety Gaps, MOT gaps, be able to take measurements, and
neat 	   things like that.

All of this with out a primary attached (Jumpered), or if the Primary is
in circuit, no secondary. Basically PSU, Gaps, TC, and maybe Primary.

I don't want to make big sparks, but I'd like to know that the rest of
it is OK, before I go further.

What happens when you run a coil with no secondary? Do you erase all the
credit cards for 2 blocks??

Enquiring minds want to know!
