Hi dave, you have welders eye! my brother has it too from to many times
squinting instead of shield or shield doesnt come down before the arc starts
and you get flashed. He spent 12 years production welding, some in a
motorcycle plant welding frames and the rest in a fabrication plant. Some
welders call it the "flickers"....after getting flashed 3 or 4 times in one
day holding parts while another "tig" welded stainless steel parts for
laboratory equipment at 400 or more amps i had a temporary case of welders
eye, after that i wore #8 samon green lense all the time and #11 over that.
If i was welding i used a #12 with gold reflective front. big $$ but i can
see what other welders cant! cul brian f.
