I'm back!

Hey everyone! I would like to take a quick minute to announce my return to
the Tesla Coil
Mailing List. After losing interest in TCs, and losing all my free time, I
decided to stop
deleting all my TCML mail and just unsubscribe. That was nearly a year
ago. With some
prodding from Chris Boden, and the return of my free time (back to "part
time hours" at
work - 40/wk :) , I decided to return.

After attempting to fire up the Tesla Coil I left my Alma Mater's physics
department last
month, I've decided I need to build them one that works more reliably, is
more portable, and
works better. Frying another NST, for a total of 3 15/30s with a Terry
Filter installed, was
the last straw. I'm thinking 12/60 powered with a high turns ~4"
secondary, GeekMMC,
and MEM gap (or whatever you call the triggered spark gap a la Marc
Metlicka). I should
add a better ground to that, although I don't expect much to happen on the
3rd floor inner
corridor :(

Anyways, hello again!
