I would add that one shouldn't buy a scope with a really old CRT because
they cost  a fortune to replace...(at least relative to the cost of the
scope...)  the 2465 (or it's ancestor, the 465 (466, etc.)) are very nice
portable scopes with decent bandwidth, triggering, etc..  Calibration
manuals are readily available, and the user interface is quite simple (it
just doesn't do all the fancy things, so they don't need to have a "shift"
key or such...)


And, my bias is showing, but they are made by the only real oscilloscope
manufacturer: Tektronix. I confess the distinction is less these days with
digitizers, etc., but, for analog scopes, for me, it's Tek, any day.
