Id  like to control either a resistive load ( very large laser  270VDC -at- 
50A possible PWM style) or use them to drive a boost trannie ( 1:4 ratio 
240VAC to 960VAC ... if inductive control is possible with these )


do these IGBT's need a full sine wave to turn off ( like SCR's ) or can 
they work on pre-filtered full wave bridge rectification wave???
