Tesla coils operate well if the primary and secondary LC circuits are in
sync, ie, run at identical frequencies. Theoretically the lower the
capacitance on the secondary, the higher the output voltage, but this is not
always true, since if they are efficient, you will get best results. Learn

Hey,

        How will it affect tesla coil performance if you have significantly
more capacitance than is necessary? Will it even work? THanks.
