Hey Terry,
Are those caps ceramic disk (orangeish) ? I allways get the value mixed 
up of the ones I have although I know they are probally not 1uF (got them
at raidoshack)
The one thing I wonder though is shouldnt I at least get somthing out of it?
I dont even get the tiniest spark. I did use the MetlickaGap circuit schematic
to figure out the wires. Im wondering if it is my dimmer, it is just a
light dimmer,
the cheapest one I could find. I will have to dissect it to see.
But enough rambling...If I understand correctly I ***should*** be able
to draw an arc from the HV button to the "ground" wire, correct?
Just want to be sure, can never be to carefull with HV. I will definatly
check the caps though.
