To those with Garage sales.....

Original poster: "Christopher Boden by way of Terry Fritz <twftesla-at-qwest-dot-net>" <chrisboden-at-hotmail-dot-com>

Those of you looking to clean out your garages please remember that The Geek
Group is a non-profit corporation and anything you donate is a complete tax
writeoff :) You may very well get more in a writeoff than you do selling it,
and we do give old gear a save and loving home. If you're near one of our
members (and we have 164 members spread throughout the world) we can most
likely pick it up (unless you have 3 tons of caps in CA....I'm still working
on that one....lol). Becuase of the nature of our operation we don't have
large (or any) amounts of funding to purchase equipment. Everything we have
is either donated by the manufacturer, or a private individual like you. Our
official policy is "Anything more advanced than a toaster" and we're
interested in it. Right now the main things we're looking for are......

Anything HV related.
Lab gear (O-scopes, power supplies, function generators, etc..)
A/V gear (especially pro grade, mixing consoles, multitracks, FX gear,
instruments, etc)
Computers (no matter how old, we're building a museum)
LASERs (Gas, Diode, etc)
Tools (especially an old Unimat!)
Books (on topics relating to any area of science, technology, or perhaps an
old playboy collection...lol
Etc etc etc etc etc...you get the idea.

If you're interested, let me know!
If you own a business it's a great way to be put on our sponsors page :)
