CJ,

Since your coil was running well with a .035 mfd cap, I assume that you
re-tuned it when you switched over to the .046 mfd mmc cap - correct?  Your mmc
caps must be soldered together and I would add resistors across each cap.  This
keeps the stress on the caps evenly divided and will discharge the mmc when
power is removed.  Are the mmc caps that you used know to be ok in this
application?
