These 2 links proved to supply rock solid information on how to lay the
windings out, for a extended delta winding on a 3 phase transformer, for
12 pulse work.

There is a special beauty in the dual extended winding. Not only are
both windings identical, the phase shift in the coils is brought about
by simple phase reversal on one coil, relative to the other. That`s
right! just swap 2 wires.

The relationship btwn. the delta winding, and the external winding is
1.73 : 1, so that the whole winding consists of a full delta core, with
a full star, or Y connected coil off the corners of the delta. Since one
of the extended coils is situated on another leg, it will introduce a 15
degrees phase shift.

Great how these papers can lighten things up, and ease the design
process.

A "Hats off" to Jim Lux for delivering!
