It would make more sense to call them than wait for an email reply. If your
friend used a credit card, he should start a charge back by filling out the
form on the back of a statement. If you wait around and do nothing in this
type of situation, exactly that will happen, you will wait and nothing will
ever happen. By far, the most inept electronics supplier I've ever used was
Mouser.
