First light!

Original poster: "Darin Willson by way of Terry Fritz <twftesla-at-qwest-dot-net>" <darinwil-at-wmt.dnsq-dot-org>

I have been following this list for quite
a while and finaly got somthing that works!
But I am having some trouble and a few questions.
My power supply is 2 wells Ignition coils in
parallel using the setup for the triggered gap
with light dimmers for each coil
and I can draw about 1/2" - 1" sparks
from a grounded wire to the torid but since I have no Idea
how much power this setup is producing I cannot
figure out where I should start in tuning.
The primary is ~5 turns of 1/4" copper tubing in a inverse cone with
.5" spacing at 45 degrees and the secondary is 199' of 30ga around
a form that is 1.625" in diameter.. I am using a cap that is ~.09mfd.
If anyone has mesured the amount of power that the xformer setup is
out putting that would help...If anyone has any other suggestions
I am open to that too........

thanks
