Tube Tesla Coil

Hello List,

Until recently, I have never found much interest in Vacuum Tube Tesla
Coils. However, amazingly enough, the usual spark gap Tesla Coil has become a
bit boring to me. I have made about eight or nine Spark Gap Coils, and am ready
to move on. That is not to imply in any way that I have "mastered" spark gap
coils. Ha! Absolutely Not! It's just, my interests in Tesla Coils has shifted.
Can anyone direct me to a VTTC page besides that of John Freau's? I have read
his material, and it was very interesting. Yet, I would like some more. For
instance, where on Earth does one find these amazingly rare and unusual Vacuum
Tubes? What types should one look for, and what differentiates one (Tesla
applicable) tube from another? Also, I would like to ask why does the output
from VTTC's vary so much from that of a traditional SGTC's? Thanks for the help
friends.
                                                Best Regards,
                                                Rick Harris
