After about three months, my polemount transformer finally arrived! At 200
pounds it is easy to move up and down stairs with two people.

Here it is waiting outside:

its name plate (10kVA 14400 primary, 120/240 secondary):

There were a few logistics problems as individuals don't usually buy utility
equipment, but in the end all was pretty simple. I called the local Cooper
rep who gave me a list of distributors. The distributor give me a quote and
I placed an order with them. GE does not make this sort of transformer in
the USA anymore it seems, ABB could not tell me where to buy their stuff,
and Howard Industries also sells clone PCs, which is so silly I could not
consider them. T&R Electric had the best price on a rebuilt unit, but I was
not willing to intercept their truck along a highway to get free shipping.
