Matt,

I've been considering driving a flyback and have looked into function
generators and such. I'm no expert but you might consider the MAXIM MAX038,
High-Frequency Waveform Generator, available from Digikey. 0.1Hz to 20MHz
operating frequency range with Square, triangle, or sine waves. Not much
output, but amplify it. Duty cycle adjust and frequency adjust via voltage
input. I assume that PWM is Pulse Width Modulation.

According to the Phillips Semiconductor application note, most 555s will
oscillate up to 1MHz, but they recommend a maximum of 500KHz in the interest
of temperature stability.

For wire check eBay or a local motor rebuilding shop.

Hi, where can i find some magnet wire of around awg 34?

Its for a low frequecy SSTC.

Or whats a good PWM chip that can pulse at a very high frequecy?555's just
wont do it will they?
