Jon: I have had so much reliable success with Marc Metlicka's trigger gap
design that I must suggest that you consider building it. It costs a bit
more than a plain static gap. But when you combine the t-gap and an LTR MMC,
you are really getting the output from your coil that it is really capable
of.

It depends on your NST type and the type of spark gap.  See the tables at:
