Terry Tests Geek Group Cap

Original poster: "Terry Fritz" <twftesla-at-qwest-dot-net>

Hi All,

I tested a Geek Group's 2000V 0.15uF MMC cap today. I posted most of the
info at:

http://hot-streamer-dot-com/TeslaCoils/MMCInfo/GeekCaps/GeekCaps.htm

I note that the Geek Group's site is not working tonight as a write this...

The caps seem great! They flash over internally at 5700 volts (quite a 2.4
Joule bang :-)) but seem to recover fine. The RMS current rating at 350kHz
is 8 amps and the Thermal Dissipation Constant for MMCcalc is "22". All
excellent numbers as is the price for so much cap!

I have about 220 of my Panasonic caps left and I will not be ordering more
in the near future. Chris's caps are a far better deal now. I will keep
them for my own use unless someone still wants them. I think I sold close
to 6000 caps and I will not miss selling them anymore ;-)))

Cheers,

	Terry
