         I like the way you are constantly thinking outside the 
square ;)  You've certainly given me the incentive to build a 
triggered gap when time permits (as usual :(

I'd guess that there is a risk of flashovers between turns as there 
will be a considerable voltage difference between them at each 
increment of coil height. Please try it and let me know if I'm wrong.
