JHCTES Ver 3.3 Changes

To All -

With all TC computer programs a problem can arise when the secondary coil
radius is inadvertently made larger than the coil primary radius or the
spiral primary inside radius. This gives a negative primary to secondary
clearance. This can be corrected by limiting the size of either the
secondary radius or the primary radius after one or the other has been
determined.

However, in the past it was found that the limiting of certain parameters
can be confusing to the designer when the program "throws out" his design
because he has gone beyond the limits. To avoid this confusion the JHCTES
Ver 3.3 now alerts the designer by showing the pri to sec clearance in red
when it is negative. It is then up to the designer to make the necessary pri
or sec parameter changes to avoid a red negative clearance.

This is especially important with the mutual inductance and coupling outputs
because both are incorrect when the pri to sec clearance is red.

It should be noted that the JHCTES program is for classical Tesla coils only
and not for other TC variations.

When you click FILE - PRINT with a black/white printer the type will be
bolder than normal for negative pri/sec clearance.
