hi, i am also a young (14 yr. old) coiler on this list (i honestly didn't
think there was anyone
under 18 that did this stuff!). anyway, I think you would greatly benifiet
from a better primary. try
using 8 or 10 guage bare copper wire in a saucer shape at about 30 degrees.
always try to go for more
turns than is needed, it is easier to tap into the coil than it is to add
on or do it over. also
definately ground the base of the secondary. the higher currents need to be
hevily grounded or else
the voltages at the top will drop significantly.
